Instructions for SLC Chefs!
Dinner service begins at 5pm, so if anyone is planning on cooking on-site we recommend arrival no later than 3pm. If a meal is being delivered, we request drop off with enough time to heat it thoroughly prior to serving at 5pm. Those cooking in-house will be required to sign a Covid waiver and wear masks/gloves while preparing food. Our residents and staff will take care of all dishes after the meal as a thank you for your service. An idea of how many are arriving to cook the day before is requested so we can be prepared. At this time there are 25-30 men, and no allergies. There are a handful of men that don’t eat pork.
You are welcome to pick up supplies from their pantry prior to cooking.
The shelter is located on the corner of S. Cambrian and Rodgers. There is a small road (Coontz) where those cooking in-house will turn down and then follow the alley on the right to the end to find the staff parking lot. From there, we can escort into the building. If anyone is simply dropping off, they can do so at the front door off S. Cambrian by ringing the doorbell.
