The pictures above are fairly unrelated to our day today, but as we left the church for the final time this morning, these are the people and situations that cling to our hearts and minds.

When we entered our resort hotel campus today, we were marveling at the beaches and pools and other amenities.  It is a beautiful place, and due to renovations, our cheapest option.  But it struck us that if this was all we saw – the manufactured Puerto –  what would we miss.  And in our manufactured and protected lives, what do we miss every day?  Sure it would be a fun vacation if this is all we saw, but the depth would be lacking.  Maybe the same is true for all of us. 

Oh we are and will have fun.  Maybe especially enjoying  he simple things like beds and showers.  But we will know that what we carry in our hearts trumps everything.
