Preschool Info
Silverdale Lutheran Preschool serves as a ministry of Silverdale Lutheran Church in assisting children to develop spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually through the Grace of Jesus Christ. Our primary purpose is to provide a happy, healthy learning environment for children, as shown in God’s love through Jesus Christ.
We affirm each child’s worth and nurture their individuality, regardless of race, color, creed, or religion.

Our Staff
Our teachers are trained preschool instructors. All have experience in Early Childhood Education.
The preschool holds a membership with the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association (ELEA). At least one staff member belongs to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). As part of the staff’s continuing education, we participate in workshops and conferences associated with these professional organizations.

Our Program Philosophy
We affirm each child’s worth and nurture their individuality, regardless of race, color, creed or religion.
We believe that the preschool years of a child’s life are a crucial time for learning life – long skills. We encourage independence, self-discipline and provide opportunities to build each child’s self-esteem.

Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is theme-based. It is planned to reflect the varying developmental levels of each child, as stated in the guidelines of The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Brightwheel is an app that Silverdale Lutheran Preschool uses for parents to receive Newsletters, messages, attendance and photos throughout the class day.
Upon registration, parents will receive a welcome email with sign up instructions.
Easy steps to follow:

- Create a free brightwheel account. When you receive an invitation via email or text, please create a free parent account using either the web or mobile app.Make sure to use the same email address or cell phone number that the invitation was sent to. Here is a quick video overview.
- Confirm your child’s profile. You will see your child’s profile after you create an account – you can confirm information such as birthday, allergies, and additional contacts. If you do not see your child’s profile, please contact us with the email address or phone number you used to sign up. You will not see updates within brightwheel until we start to use it regularly.
- Set your account preferences. You can adjust your notification preferences within your profile settings on the app.
