A New Year of Faith & Fun

At Silverdale Lutheran, we offer a dynamic child, youth, and family program.

We are thrilled to welcome everyone back for another school year of programming! The safety and welfare of all youth in our care is a top priority.

Childcare for Ages 0-5

Church Nursery is available for children ages birth-five and is open during both Worship services, Sunday school and most ministry events.

Sunday School for All Ages

Sunday School is offered from Labor Day to Memorial Day, following the CK School District schedule. We offer pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school classes that meet from 9:45 to 10:45 am between services. Our middle and high school classes may occasionally venture off campus for various experiences.

Kids Word During Worship

Kids Word for children in pre-K through 3rd grade meets after the children’s sermon at the 11am worship service. Kids venture down to the gathering place to hear the gospel in a kid-friendly way. Our high school youth help lead this ministry. Children return to the sanctuary for Holy Communion.

SLC Littles

SLC Littles is a regular intentional playdate for our children ages 2-6. Most events require an RSVP, but we make sure they are unique and special just like the kiddos who attend!

SLC Kids

SLC Kids is our youth group for kids in 1st-5th grade that meets monthly on the third Friday for their own fun, games and faith formation.

3rd Grade & Up: Bible Class

Bible class is offered annually for anyone in 3rd grade and above who has yet to receive a Bible. We dive into God’s Word in a unique and exciting way. We hope to branch out and offer some younger youth Bible studies to keep those pages turning.

First Communion

First Communion is typically offered during the season of Lent. If you feel your child is ready for this milestone, they are welcome to participate. We celebrate annually at our Maundy Thursday Service with bread prepared by first communion students.
