Bells of the Sound

Sunday, December 10th @ 5pm

“Peace on Earth, goodwill to men!” was the message the angels brought to the shepherds in the fields on that first Christmas Eve. This is the very essence of the Christmas spirit that fills us this time of year. Bells of the Sound will share this message as we present Peace on Earth, featuring traditional carols and songs of peace from around the world. We invite you to join us on this goodwill journey as we ring in the holiday spirit!

A suggested donation of $12/adults and $8/youth & seniors will be collected at the door (children under 8 are free).  For more information, please visit, email or call (206) 574-8417.

Bells of the Sound is a nationally acclaimed handbell ensemble that has been pioneering handbell artistry and excellence since 1989. This group of 15 auditioned musicians is known for their high-caliber, energetic and entertaining performances. Bells of the Sound is a dynamic force in the handbell world, advancing handbells into the mainstream of entertainment and encouraging composers to create new works for this provocative, exhilarating instrument.

Established to give handbell directors in the Puget Sound area an opportunity to ring, Bells of the Sound has since matured into a community ensemble dedicated to musical excellence and the promotion of handbells through exciting performance. The group now performs on 7 1/2 octaves of Malmark handbells, 6 octaves Malmark Choirchimes, 5 octaves of Whitechapel handbells and 3 octaves of Petit & Fritsen handbells. Bells of the Sound has appeared on the Q13 Morning News Christmas Special, MIX 92.5’s Christmas Show and KING 98.1’s “Evenings with Gigi Yellen”. Past performances also include the Opening Gala at Benaroya Hall, sold out shows with the Seattle Men’s Chorus, the Pacific Northwest premier of Ludtke’s Symphony #3 for Handbells with the Cascade Symphony, and headline performances at national handbell conferences.
